Dr. Bruce Prokopetz was born in Armstrong, British Columbia. While growing up, he gained a valuable background in farming, forestry, and logging, and eventually pursued a career in dentistry. He graduated from Loma Linda University in Southern California in 1986, and then returned to Canada where he joined a team dental practice in Terrace, B.C. for the next 7 years. In 1993, he opened his own practice in that area, and in 1998, he and his family moved to Kelowna where he again opened his own practice and continues to enjoy the Art of Dentistry.
His patients find that his varied background makes him easy to talk to, and the peaceful home setting of his office, his personable staff, and the beautiful Mission Creek and green-way back drop all serve to put patients at ease the minute they walk through the office door.
Dr. Prokopetz is committed in his desire of meeting the needs of each patient’s individual circumstances, and many people discover that he and his staff far exceed their expectations, not only in meeting their immediate needs, but as teachers to assist in helping them to develop preventive measures for the long term maintenance of their dental health.
Dr. Prokopetz is always up to a challenge and therefore, seems to thrive on the need to keep current in our ever changing world of technology. He frequently attends opportunities of learning in order to study under other Giants in their field of expertise, some of those being: Dr. Dick Barnes of California for cosmetic crown and bridge work, Dr. Kenneth James of Washington, for excellence in the Hygiene Department, Imtiaz Manji for efficient management skills, and Dr. Mark Morin for quality ceramic restorations.
The Mission Creek Dental Center staff have a combined clinical experience of over 160 years, and they are each eager to share their areas of expertise in the interest of promoting the highest quality patient care available.
